So simple, and always the quickest to disappear at functions. Can be served as an appetizer, or over rice and any veggies for a complete meal!
Ingredients
- 2 pounds kielbasa sausage, cut into 1/4-inch slices
- 1 (12 ounce) bottle tomato-based chili sauce (such as Heinz®)
- 1 (12 ounce) jar red currant jelly
- 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes
- ½ cup water
Directions
Step 1
Stir the sausage slices, chili sauce, red currant jelly, red pepper flakes, and water together in a slow cooker, cover, and set the cooker to Low. Cook at least 4 hours, stirring once every hour.
Cook’s Note
This is a no-fail crowd pleaser! I've been making this for years (thanks mom). The longer the kielbasa "stews" the better; however I would recommend switching your cooker to Warm after 6 hours. I've tasted it after an entire day in the crock, and it still rocks! Can't go wrong.
