Smoked cabbage is hands-off and a perfect side dish for whatever floats your boat. While you’ve got that smoker fired up, quarter a head of cabbage and slap it on in that last bit of cooking time. It pairs well with beef, pork, and chicken.
Ingredients
- 1 small head green cabbage, quartered
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ontreal steak seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup bacon bits
Directions
Step 1
Preheat a smoker to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C) according to manufacturer?s directions. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
Step 2
Place cabbage wedges on prepared baking sheet.
Step 3
In a small bowl, whisk olive oil, steak seasoning, salt, and pepper until evenly combined. Brush mixture over the cabbage wedges.
Step 4
Place baking sheet on the grate of the preheated smoker and smoke for 1 1/2 hours. Transfer to a serving dish and top with bacon pieces. Serve immediately.
