These Jo Jo potatoes are great. You can change the combination of spices to a Mexican flavoring and serve these potato wedges with a nacho cheese dip.
Ingredients
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ¾ teaspoon lemon pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon celery salt
- ¼ teaspoon seasoning salt
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 4 potatoes, unpeeled and cut into 1/2-inch-thick wedges
- vegetable oil as needed, for frying
Directions
Step 1
Combine flour, lemon pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, celery salt, and seasoning salt in a shallow bowl. Place beaten egg in a second shallow bowl.
Step 2
Dip potato wedges in beaten egg, then press in flour mixture to coat.
Step 3
Heat oil in a deep fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Step 4
Working in batches, fry potatoes in hot oil until golden brown, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain briefly on paper towels. Serve hot.
