This zucchini bread recipe makes two loaves of moist, tangy, chocolate chip-studded bread that’s great for gifting during the holidays.
Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 2 cups grated zucchini
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease two 9×5-inch loaf pans.
Step 2
Mix flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and baking soda together in a bowl.
Step 3
Beat sugar, oil, and eggs with an electric mixer in a large bowl until well combined. Blend in grated zucchini, followed by sour cream. Mix in dry ingredients until combined. Stir in chocolate chips. Pour batter into the prepared pans.
Step 4
Bake in the preheated oven until a tester inserted into the center of each loaf comes out clean, about 1 1/2 hours.
Step 5
Remove from the oven and cool loaves on a wire rack.
Tips
You can substitute raisins for the chocolate chips, or you can use 1/2 cup of each.
