Zax sauce is spicy, creamy, and really good with fried chicken, chicken fingers, and sandwiches. It’s a great alternative to traditional BBQ sauce. If you are a fan of Zaxby’s Zax sauce, this copycat recipe is for you! I like to add a full teaspoon of black pepper but you can add as much as you like.
Ingredients
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup ketchup
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or more to taste
Directions
Step 1
Gather all ingredients.
Step 2
Whisk mayonnaise, ketchup, and garlic powder together in a bowl. Add Worcestershire sauce to the mayonnaise mixture and whisk until smooth.
Step 3
Sprinkle enough pepper over the surface of the mayonnaise mixture to cover; stir to incorporate. Repeat sprinkling and stirring of pepper once more.
Step 4
Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate until the seasonings have blended into the sauce, at least 2 hours.
