This cobbler with cake mix is an easy way to use a surplus of summer blackberries! It couldn’t be simpler. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, if desired.
Ingredients
- 6 cups fresh blackberries
- 1 ½ cups white sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 (15.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
- ½ cup melted butter
Directions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Step 2
Combine blackberries, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl until evenly blended. Spread evenly into the prepared baking dish.
Step 3
Place cake mix in a separate bowl. Mix in butter until crumbly; sprinkle evenly over top of berries.
Step 4
Bake in the preheated oven until the mixture is bubbly, and the topping is golden brown, 40 to 45 minutes.
