Sweet, Sticky, and Spicy Chicken

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh ginger root
  • 2 teaspoons chopped garlic
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves – cut into 1/2 inch strips
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1
Whisk soy sauce, honey, hot sauce, brown sugar, ginger, and garlic together in a small bowl; set sauce aside.

Step 2
Lightly season chicken with salt and pepper.

Step 3
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken; cook and stir until browned, about 1 minute per side. Pour sauce over chicken; simmer, uncovered, until sauce thickens, 8 to 10 minutes.
