Ingredients
- 1 medium head red cabbage, shredded
- 1 quart water
- salt to taste
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon caraway seeds
- ½ cup vinegar
- ¼ cup butter
Directions
Step 1
Place cabbage in a medium saucepan. Add water and salt and bring to a boil. Stir in brown sugar and caraway seeds; cook until cabbage is tender, about 12 minutes. Drain.
Step 2
Toss cabbage with vinegar and butter in a medium bowl until thoroughly coated.
