I’m not sure where this spiced apples recipe comes from, but I make it for holiday dinners and always receive compliments.

Ingredients

  • 8 Granny Smith apples
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ¼ cup cinnamon red hot candies

Directions

Step 1
Peel, core, and slice apples.

Step 2
Place all ingredients in microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 15 minutes, stirring each 5 minutes.

Step 3
Cover with plastic wrap and let cool or serve warm.
