A classic pork or chicken dry rub recipe. This is enough to coat about 5 to 7 pounds of ribs or 10 pounds of pork roast or chicken. This type of rub is very popular in Southern Georgia — you can add more cayenne pepper by the teaspoon depending on how hot you like it.
Ingredients
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup paprika
- ¼ cup coarse salt
- 2 tablespoons freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons onion powder
- 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
Directions
Step 1
Whisk brown sugar, paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper together in a bowl. Store in an airtight container.
