Slow-Cooker Apple Raspberry Sauce

A recipe I always keep on hand. It has proven addicting and has replaced desserts after meals for me. I even put it in my hot cereal.

Ingredients

  • 12 green apples – peeled, cored, and cut into chunks
  • 1 (12 ounce) package frozen raspberries
  • ¾ cup water
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar, or more to taste
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg, or more to taste (Optional)

Directions

Step 1
Combine apples, raspberries, water, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a slow cooker crock.

Step 2
Cook on Low until apples can easily be mashed, about 6 hours.

Cook’s Notes:

I personally do not really like nutmeg so usually leave it out, but nutmeg lovers should go for it.

This made my apartment smell soooo good! Tastes great. I added a full cup of brown sugar and it cooked for 6 1/2 hours.
