Mix the Middle Eastern shawarma classic seasoning yourself. This version has a little lighter clove flavor.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons ground allspice
- 1 tablespoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon ground cardamom
- ½ tablespoon chili powder
- ½ tablespoon dried oregano
- ½ tablespoon salt
- 2 teaspoons ground cloves
Directions
Step 1
Mix garlic powder, black pepper, allspice, nutmeg, cinnamon, cardamom, chili powder, oregano, salt, and cloves together in a bowl.
Cook?s Note
To use, cover lamb or chicken in olive oil before adding the seasoning mix. Allow to marinate for one hour or longer, then cook as desired.
