This has become my go-to method for using up fruit of various kinds. We have so much great fruit in our area that it’s hard to keep up with it. This is a great option for apples, pears, you name it.

I made it with black plums and 1/4 c blueberries.
I did not peel the plums but cut them into slices!
    Yum!

This was super easy to prepare, with the added benefit of having a little “wow” factor in presentation. It tasted great, but if you’re looking for a gooey pie filling, this is not it. The taste was not too sweet or overly sugary, which we appreciated. My family loved it, and I would definitely make it again.

Added 1/2 cup of cranberries and will definitely make this again!

…really sweet pie, but that’s just a small tinker. This is a great pie.

Great use of extra fruit… quick and easy… and a little healthier since you only have one crust and not too sweet..

wonderful, lot of calories saved instead of 2 crust pie/ dessert looks good also

The recipe worked a treat as it was. I picked this because I had leftover pie dough that wasn’t quite enough for a second pie. Otherwise, did everything the same.

If I were to make it again, I would drizzle a little lemon juice over the apples to give a little more acid and dust the pie with powdered sugar to serve, but that’s just personal preference.

Both my husband and I loved it! Followed the recipe exactly. Will definitely make it again.

Swapped apples for pears because I had pears I needed to use up, used the pie dough roll found in the refrigerated section, and added almonds & oats for more texture!

Love this recipe, made it 3 times in 2 days. Easy to make, will try with other fruits soon! We?ve only tried it with apples and my family love it!

Such an easy and simple dessert to make. I used apples and blueberries because that’s what I had on hand and it turned out great!

I used pears and used the other ingredients as written, really good, topped with CoolWhip.

I?m not a cooking baking person but it was so easy and so delicious. Especially with coffee ice cream on it

This is so simple with the possibility of so many variations. Next time, I may try a drizzle of Sanders caramel in the rim of the crust, just before folding it over; I do this with my upside down apple pie, and it’s luscious, just don’t overdo it. Bet there’ll be no crust left behind! Thanks 😀

My go-to recipe for any type of fruit Galette. I double all the ingredients for the sugar / cornstarch toss. I like to add a little lemon zest to this mix. I substitute the sugar using a Stevia blend made for baking (it measures out just like sugar). Mix sliced fruit with the vanilla extract then combine with the dry ingredients. Have fun assembling. Don’t forget the egg wash. After baking top lightly with just a little real sugar on the crust for sparkle! Fantastic served on its own – over the top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Your gong to want to make two at a time!
