Rancho Baked Beans

Great dish to serve at a BBQ or summer dinner. Easy and tasty! This recipe has been used by the women on my husband’s side of the family for years. This freezes well.

Ingredients

  • cooking spray
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups chopped onion
  • 2 (16 ounce) cans pork and beans
  • 1 (16 ounce) can kidney beans, drained
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a casserole dish with cooking spray.

Step 2
Cook and stir ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and onions are translucent, 10 to 15 minutes. Drain well.

Step 3
Mix pork and beans, kidney beans, ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, vinegar, and salt in a large bowl. Stir hamburger mixture into bean mixture. Pour hamburger-bean mixture into prepared casserole dish.

Step 4
Bake in the preheated oven until bubbling, about 45 minutes.

    I make a recipe just like this (same ingredients) called Calico Beans. They are soooooo good! My hubby would eat this every day if he could.

    Everyone Loved it! I cut down the pork and beans to 1 can and then cut back the sauce ingredients. Next time I?ll double the meat and kidney beans and leave the pork and beans at 2. Family wanted more leftovers.
