These easy mashed sweet potatoes are my favorite quick recipe. For more flavor, add maple syrup.
Ingredients
- 6 sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 2-inch chunks
- ½ cup butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme
Directions
Step 1
Place potatoes into a large pot and cover with salted water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until tender, about 20 minutes; drain.
Step 2
Transfer potatoes to a large bowl; add butter, garlic, basil, and thyme. Use a potato masher to mash until smooth.
