Puffed millet stands in for Rice Krispies cereal in this peanut butter- and honey-sweetened version of a well-known puffed cereal treat.
Ingredients
- cooking spray
- ½ cup natural peanut butter
- ½ cup honey
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 ½ cups puffed millet cereal
- ½ cup chopped dried mixed fruit
Directions
Step 1
Grease an 8-inch square pan with cooking spray.
Step 2
Combine peanut butter, honey, and salt in a large saucepan; mix to combine and bring to a boil. Stir in vanilla.
Step 3
Remove from the heat and stir in millet and dried fruit. Press mixture into the prepared pan. Refrigerate until chilled, about 1 hour.
Step 4
Cut into 16 squares.
