Oreo®-Stuffed Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package brownie mix (such as Betty Crocker®)
  • 2/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup water
  • 12 chocolate sandwich cookies (such as Oreo®)

Directions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease 12 muffin cups or line with paper liners.

Step 2
Mix brownie mix, oil, eggs, and water together in a bowl until smooth. Spoon about 1 tablespoon batter into each muffin cup. Place 1 cookie into each muffin cup and top with more batter.

Step 3
Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in the side of the brownie comes out clean, 20 to 23 minutes.

Cook’s Notes:

These can also be made in a baking pan by layering batter in the bottom, arranging cookies atop batter, and pouring batter over cookies. Cook in an 8-inch baking pan for 38 to 40 minutes. Cook in a 9-inch baking pan for 34 to 37 minutes. Cook in a 7×11-inch pan for 32 to 35 minutes.

    This recipe should be titled cupcakes – not brownies.

    I followed the recipe as written and used double stuff Oreos. I ended up with 17 brownie-cupcakes. They turned out good.

    Awesomely easy, fun and delicious! Everyone I shared these with LOVED them. I’m thinking of trying a couple w/ icing on top, not that it needs any, I just wanna see if it takes them to the next level. These would be great with different flavors of oreos too. Great recipe and I will def be making them again and again~YUM, YUM, YUM!!!!! Thanks for sharing. 🙂

    This recipe is the best! So easy and has become my go-to dessert for when I make meals for friends or treats for work. Everyone begs for them and then they blame me for making them because they are so good 🙂

    Made in a 9 inch square pan. Added some bittersweet chocolate chips into the brownie batter. Put some chocolate fudge icing on the top. Chocolate delight.
