This vanilla popsicle is a refreshing treat our family enjoys on hot summer days. Diet soda can be used to cut calories. We often refer to them as Pop Pops.
Ingredients
- 1 (20 ounce) bottle vanilla cream soda
- 2 cups water
- ½ cup white sugar
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
Step 1
Pour cream soda into a bowl and whisk until no longer bubbly; set aside.
Step 2
Heat water and sugar in a saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes. Stir sugar mixture and vanilla into cream soda in the bowl.
Step 3
Pour mixture into small plastic cups or ice pop molds, then insert wooden ice pop sticks. Freeze until firm, about 4 hours.

An electric mixer whisks this recipe nicely.
