A quick and easy apple cake recipe that’s moist and satisfying.
Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 ¼ cups vegetable oil
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 ½ cups apples, peeled and chopped
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 ¼ cups packed brown sugar
- ½ cup butter
- 1/3 cup milk
Directions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Step 3
Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center of cake comes out clean, 40 to 50 minutes.

Combine brown sugar, butter, and milk in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Cook, stirring constantly, until glaze is slightly thickened, 2 to 3 minutes.
Step 5
Pour glaze over hot cake.
