Ingredients
Icing
- 2 cups confectioners' sugar
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 (15.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
- 4 large eggs
- 1 (8 ounce) carton sour cream
- ¾ cup vegetable oil
- ½ cup water
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9×13-inch pan.
Step 2
Whisk together cake mix, eggs, sour cream, vegetable oil, and water in a large bowl until smooth.
Step 3
Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Pour 1/2 of the cake batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle brown sugar mixture over batter.
Step 4
Pour remaining batter on top; gently swirl batter a few times with a table knife.
Step 5
Bake in the preheated oven until lightly golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean, about 40 minutes.
Step 6
Make icing: Stir together confectioners' sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth and runny.
Step 7
Pour over hot cake; allow to cool before serving.
