A slightly spicy lemon sauce for salmon cakes. Makes enough for about eight salmon patties.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 teaspoons all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup milk
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Directions
Step 1
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in flour to form a smooth paste. Gradually stir in milk; bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Cook for 2 minutes or until thickened.
Step 2
Remove the pan from heat; stir in lemon juice, salt, and cayenne pepper.
