Instant Pot Pasta Recipes the Whole Family Will Love

From stovetop to oven to yes, even pressure cooker, we've never met a macaroni and cheese that we didn't like. A combo of American cheese, Parmesan cheese, Velveeta, and heavy whipping cream creates a rich, indulgent blanket for elbow macaroni, and the addition of dry mustard powder and hot sauce gives the dish an extra zip.

This old-school comfort food favorite, jam-packed with ground beef and mushrooms, is actually ideal for the modern-day Instant Pot. That's because the saucy combo of sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, and onion soup mix is the perfect medium for cooking down a mass of supple egg noodles.

"This is an Instant Pot recipe that even my picky 2-year-old loves," promises FoodieinSF. High praise indeed! But frankly, we don't see how anyone of any age could resist this Southeast Asian take on classic chicken soup, afloat with lots of bite-sized elbow noodles, and enriched with coconut cream and zesty sriracha.

The sauce for this over-the-top pasta gets even thicker the longer it sets. But we doubt we'd have the self-control necessary to keep from digging into the Instant Pot with our forks. After all, who could resist mounds of rotini tossed with chicken and bacon, then enveloped in a cheesy ranch sauce?

Never tried bison? The grassy, sweet, and surprisingly lean meat will take your everyday bolognese to the next level. This recipe calls for chunky, sworled trotolle pasta, but you can go with whatever shape you can find as long as it has grooves to hold on to the satisfying bites of mushrooms, basil, and bell pepper.

Recipe creator dailygourmet says, "I'm sure many can raise their hand when they've wanted a comforting casserole and their chicken is frozen. Relax. This recipe makes use of frozen chicken breasts… dinner will be ready fast thanks to a head start in the Instant Pot!" Oh yeah, and there's no need to pre-cook the spaghetti noodles either. That's a double score for the multi-purpose appliance.

These thick, soft noodles are a Polish specialty, enjoyed either as is or combined with cabbage. That's the version RainbowJewels shared with us. "This quick and easy Polish recipe is a one-pot comfort meal with cabbage, Polish sausage, and egg noodles for your busy evenings made in the Instant Pot."

This chicken sausage-filled, red sauce-smothered, and cheese-topped penne pasta dish screams Sunday dinner with the family. And you won't even need to clutter the stovetop with multiple pots! Which means less time spent cleaning, and more time relaxing with a glass of red wine on the couch.

Ready in about 45 minutes. “Nana’s Tuna Puttanesca Sauce with Spaghetti Pasta has long been a favorite dish of mine, and one I regularly turned to when I had canned tuna, but this time when the craving hit, I only had frozen tuna steak,” says thedailygourmet. “Instant Pot® to the rescue! I chose to cook my pasta separately from the sauce. Serve with crusty bread, if desired.”

"The chicken Alfredo cranks up the heat with some jerk seasoning," says recipe creator thedailygourmet. "The bonus: it cooks in under 30 minutes and is a one dish meal!"

No need to slowly simmer your meat sauce when you have an Instant Pot! "Tomato and ground beef sauce with a hint of wine for your pasta," says Bren. "I've made this fairly basic but feel free to adjust the seasoning to your tastes."

Linguine combines with ricotta, pesto, and peas for a delicious pasta dinner that's ready in 35 minutes. "This is a deliciously easy pasta dish made in the Instant Pot®!" says peloquinswife.
