My boyfriend and I love to drink hot milkshakes on cold winter days in front of the fireplace.
Ingredients
- 2 small ripe bananas, chopped
- ¼ teaspoon brown sugar
- 1 ½ cups milk, divided
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions
Step 1
Mash bananas and brown sugar together in a bowl. Transfer to a small saucepan, place over medium heat and cook until bananas begin to brown, about 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Gradually mix 1 cup of milk into bananas and heat until mixture begins to steam. Stir honey and cinnamon into mixture until honey has dissolved.
Step 2
Pour banana mixture into a blender no more than half full. Cover and hold the lid down; pulse a few times before leaving on to blend. Pur?e until smooth. Blend remaining 1/2 cup of milk into mixture until creamy.
Tips
I like my milkshake a little thick but you can adjust the amount of milk and honey in the blender according to your taste. I put 1/2 cup of cold milk in the blender to start drinking as soon as it's done. You can dip a dessert spoon in a chocolate hazelnut spread and serve the drink with it.
