A great mix of fruits and vegetables to get started in the morning or post workout that still tastes awesome.
Ingredients
- 6 fluid ounces milk
- 1 (6 ounce) container plain yogurt
- ½ cup frozen strawberries
- ½ frozen banana
- ¼ cup frozen blueberries
- 1 green ice cube (see footnote)
- 2 tablespoons whey protein powder (Optional)
- 1 teaspoon honey, or to taste
Directions
Step 1
Combine milk, yogurt, strawberries, banana, blueberries, green ice cube, whey, and honey in a blender, in the order listed. Blend until smooth.
Cook’s Notes:
To Make the Veggie ice cube, you'll need a bunch of kale(stems removed and discarded), a package of spinach, and 1 large avocado. Blanch the kale and spinach in a pot of boiling water until wilted, about 1 minute. Strain the leaves and put in a food processor with avocado; blend until smooth. Pour mixture into ice cube trays and freeze.
