Warm and comforting ham and cabbage stew. A great way to use leftover ham. Serve with pierogi.
Ingredients
- 2 (23 ounce) cans condensed tomato soup
- 46 ounces water
- 1 large head green cabbage, cut into chunks
- 2 pounds cooked ham, cut into chunks
- 1 pound kielbasa sausage, sliced into rounds (Optional)
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
Directions
Step 1
Combine condensed soup, water, and cabbage in a large stockpot. Add ham, kielbasa, salt, and pepper and bring to a boil. Boil for 20 minutes.
Step 2
Reduce heat and simmer until cabbage is tender, 5 to 10 more minutes.
