Ingredients
- 1 cup shortening
- ½ cup butter
- 4 tablespoons water, or more as needed
- 1 ½ tablespoons vanilla extract
- 2 pounds confectioners' sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Directions
Step 1
Combine shortening, butter, water, and vanilla in a heavy-duty mixer. Add sugar and salt and beat until well mixed. Add 1 to 2 more tablespoons water if needed to get desired consistency.
Step 2
Turn mixer to the highest speed and beat for 15 minutes.
