Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh spinach leaves, or to taste
  • 1 cup water, or as needed
  • 1 medium apple, cored and chopped
  • 1 medium pear, cored and chopped
  • 1 small lemon, juiced
  • 2 tablespoons flaxseed meal
  • ½ teaspoon freshly grated ginger

Directions

Step 1
Combine spinach, 1 cup water, apple, pear, lemon juice, flaxseed, and ginger in a blender. Puree until smooth, adding more water if needed.

Cook’s Note:

Add fresh fruit, cucumbers, slivered almonds, coconut, fresh herbs, or different dark leafy greens for tasty variations on this recipe.
