I have been making these same pancakes for years my recipe is called feather light pancakes from a blender cookbook. Now my ten year old son has taken over making them; perfect every time. I often add chocolate chips , blue berries or dried cranberries to them after pouring the batter into the pan; then everone gets custom pancakes.

My husband and I both find this recipe pretty delicious! They are super restaurant-style fluffy! I would suggest adding a bit less baking powder, because I find they kinda fall apart when you use the full 2 tablespoons. Yes, they are a bit plain, but that’s the great thing about them, you can add any flavor! I’ve tried cinnamon, fruit, chocolate chips. And they are so simple. This is a great basic recipe that is great for a Sunday morning!

Hands down! These are by far the best pancakes I have ever had! Light, tender and flavorful. I am pleasantly surprised at the ease and success of this recipe. This is a definite keeper. It was jokingly renamed at breakfast to “Mom’s FAMOUS Pancake Recipe….that I discovered this morning…on Allrecipes.com”! Thanks for sharing!

I like pancakes and have tried several different recipes, but this one is by far the best! I love them! They are fluffy and sweet (but not too sweet). They have a lovely aftertaste that is kinda like eating a flavourful cake. Mmmmmm, this is my number one pancake recipe from now on!

These were surprisingly good. For such a simple recipe, I expected them to be only so-so, but they came up to be rather thick pancakes and very fluffy, not to mention tasty. Be warned, though: serving size of 4 does not mean 4 pancakes. I made them just for myself one morning and had made 6 somewhat small pancakes (I was using a 1/2 cup to measure them and they weren’t always a full 1/2 cup) and still had about 1/2 to 1/3 of the batter left. The 6 was all I could eat 😛 Still, really good. Definitely recommend this recipe.

These pancakes were very easy to make and came out light and fluffy. I took everyone’s advice and halved the amount of baking powder; next time, I’ll probably add a little cinnamon for extra flavor. Great basic recipe overall: nothing fancy, but I’ll definitely make these again.

This is a GREAT recipe. I have used it for months and the pancakes come out tasting great and looking beautiful. The only modification I have made is to mix all of the ingredients, but to beat the eggs separately and add them at the end, being careful to sort of fold them in. Frothy eggs make a pancake with plenty of bubbles so it cooks perfectly. I also add pear or apple compote. My boyfriend and I love them!

A good start but it’s not quite there yet as many reviewers have already noted. I read all the reviews and reduced both the baking powder (3/4 T) and salt (pinch). I also separated the egg and added the yolk in along with the milk and other liquids. I whipped the egg white in a separate bowl until it reached soft peaks and then folded it back into the batter. I also added 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and the rind of half an orange. (Buy a Microplane!) The pancakes had a nice hint of orange taste and were light and fluffy as well.

My family loves this recipe and I make it a few times a week. Sometimes I add a sprinkle of bran or oatmeal into the batter for extra texture. Sometimes I find the batter gets a bit thick so I add in a little bit more milk. I also usually use about half of the recommended amount of baking soda. Since making these, I can’t remember why I used to buy the boxed pancake mixes! This is so easy to make.

I needed a quick and simple pancake recipe today, so I made these with a few adjustments….
I only put in 2 teaspoons baking powder, I added 2 teaspoons of good vanilla extract, I added 1/2 teaspoon of apple pie spice, one tablespoon lemon juice, I used organic unbleached four, used organic cane sugar (makes a huge differance) and replaced the vegetable oil with olive oil. They were perfect! I severed them topped with apple sauce….and my kids loved their healthy breakfast! -

These pancakes were super quick and easy to make. I’ve always had a problem using boxed pancake mix because they were too tough, so when i found this recipe I tried it. I added a dollop of sour cream and a dribble of vanilla extract and they turned out super fluffy and just a little bit sweet – perfect!

My boyfriend gave these 5 stars, but something tasted just a little bit off to me. For the second batch, I added 1 tsp. vanilla & 1 tsp. cinnamon (per other reviewers), which gave the pancakes more of a french-toast flavor. Definitely “Easy”, though, and a great base to work from! Thanks!

This recipe turned out great. I followed other reviewers advice and cut the baking powder in half. I also added 1 tsp of vanilla, 1Tbsp of lemon juice alont with some orange zest and some chopped macadamia nuts. YUMMY!!! Loved the texture the nuts added without the overly bitter nut taste. Definitely a keeper as it is so versatile. My husband has put in a request for me to add apples instead of nuts.

I’ve always made boxed pancakes, but not anymore. I love this recipes, I’ve made it every weekend for the past month. My husband and toddler son love it too. I will try and add vanilla (like others suggested) but it’s fine without as well. I have reduced the baking powder – just to see how they turned out and they were fine either way! Thanks for sharing!!

I was looking for a quick and easy pancake recipe, but one that tasted like it took a little more time to prepare. This is definatly NOT that recipe. The baking powder is overpowering, even cut in half. Not fluffy at all written as is. I’ll stick to my own pancake recipe, takes a little more time to beat the egg whites, but so worth it.

These are good. I wouldn’t say they’re the best ever, but good. I’ve made them twice, once I used 1/2 the baking powder, & once I used the full amount. They came out too flat to give 5 stars. Maybe I need to decrease to 2 tsp as someone else said. I’ll try that next time. I gave 4 stars b/c they are good & easy.

This is a great recipe! I decreased the baking powder to 2 tsps, added 1 tsp of vanilla and 1 tsp. fresh orange juice. Everyone raved about them. I tossed pecans in for those that like them, blueberries for others and there were no complaints. Also for the little ones, I add a couple of drops of syrup right before I turn them the first time, and they eat them on the run! Thanks for sharing this recipe!!
