This liverwurst p?t?, made with Braunschweiger, is a favorite passed down to me from my mom. We have it at family gatherings and this year I’m taking it to the Super Bowl party. Seasonings may be adjusted to suit your taste. Serve with your choice of crackers.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Braunschweiger (a liver sausage), pork
  • ½ (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon minced garlic

Directions

Step 1
Mix together sausage, cream cheese, milk, and onion in a medium bowl. Season with Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, sugar, and garlic, and mix until well blended.

Step 2
Wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, until firm.
