This easy lima bean recipe features baby lima beans steamed in chicken broth. It’s a tasty side dish that’s low in fat.
Ingredients

- ½ medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 ½ cups chicken broth
- 1 (16 ounce) package frozen baby lima beans
- 1/4 cup water, or as needed to cover
Directions
Step 1
Spray a large saucepan with cooking spray and heat over medium heat. Add onion to the hot pan and saut? until translucent, about 5 minutes. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil.
Step 2
Add lima beans and enough water just to cover. Return to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer until beans are tender, about 30 minutes.
