This cottage cheese white bread is a hearty recipe I put in my bread machine — the kids just love it. I have also used nonfat cottage cheese.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup water
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 2 ½ teaspoons active dry yeast

Directions

Step 1
Add ingredients to your bread machine in the order suggested by the manufacturer, and start. You can use up to 1/2 cup more bread flour if dough seems too sticky.
