My grandmother was from Germany and this was her mother’s easy coleslaw dressing recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 egg yolk
- 3 tablespoons white sugar
- 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
- 2 tablespoons butter
- ½ cup white vinegar
- ½ cup half-and-half
Directions
Step 1
In a medium saucepan, stir together egg yolk, sugar, mustard, butter, and vinegar. Whisk together over medium heat and boil until thick. Remove from heat and cool. Whisk in half-and-half. Refrigerate until using.
