My friend’s mom made this bologna salad spread for our Iowa Teen Club luncheon back in the 1950s. I used to make it for my kids when they were growing up, and they still love it! Sweet relish and eggs round out the flavor of bologna in this simple but delicious spread. Serve it on cocktail toast, or use it in sandwiches. The amount of egg, salad dressing, and relish can be adjusted to taste.
Ingredients
- 1 (16 ounce) package bologna
- 4 large hard-boiled eggs, peeled and chopped
- 1 cup creamy salad dressing (such as Miracle Whip®), or to taste
- ½ cup sweet pickle relish, or to taste
Directions
Step 1
Grind bologna and eggs in a meat grinder with a medium blade.
Step 2
Transfer ground mixture to a large bowl; stir in salad dressing and relish until well combined. Cover and refrigerate until chilled, 2 to 3 hours.
