This was a wonderful surprise at my Mom’s 60th birthday party. Guests were scraping the bowl for the last drop!

    Great recipe!

I have added raisins and/or pinenuts to this recipe to give it a little spark!

I made this recipe for a cookout and it was awesome. I usually have trouble getting my kids to eat broccoli but they loved this. I think it was the cheese and the bacon that entised them. I will use this over and over again.

    Very good.

This recipe has definately become apart of my family. Everyone I make it for loves it! I can never make enough of it, it disappears. It also works good with turkey bacon. Thank you Cassandra!

This is GREAT! I have now found my new favorite salad for the summer. Thanks so much Cassie!!!

    Another wonderful salad.

This recipe was simply wonderful. To make it a little healthier you could use turkey bacon and low-fat mayo. Great Recipe, thank you!!!

    very good thanks

Wonderful brocolli salad, it was a hit
    at our BBQ!

I tried this recipe for Fourth of July with my very picky in-laws and they raved about it.

    Lots of chopping to do.

I make a similar salad on a regular basis as it is everyones favorite – the only difference is I also add 1 cup red grapes – halved, and 1/2 cup salted, peeled sunflower seeds – tastes great!!

I served this salad for three recent get-togethers, and ran out every time. Everyone loved it! I made a couple of changes–added cauliflower to make it go further, and used shredded mozzarella instead of chedder. Thanks for sharing this recipe!

Perhaps I used too much broccoli, it is hard to tell with “2 heads” that leaves it wide open, but I didn’t think there was near enough dressing or bacon in this recipe. Would have been better with some cauliflower perhaps. A lot of work cutting up all of that for a rather bland salad.

This salad was excellent, however, I don’t think there was what I would call 12 servings. It fed 6-8 people, but next time I’ll just double the recipe. Definitely will make again!

This recipe is wonderful! I have made it for three different gathers and everyone has raved about it. I have already given the recipe to quite a few people.

I used a yellow onion as that is what I had and it worked fine. I think the cheddar cheese is a must. I would recommend chopping the broccoli rather small in order to incorporate the dressing for best flavor. Very good recipe.

If you’re looking for a more non-taditional side dish, this is a good one to try. Very good!

This is a very good recipe. Thanks Cassandra!!!!

I served this at my family’s Thanksgiving dinner. It a great alternative to the traditional tossed salad.

This recipe is now a favorite at all our family gatherings. It is also great to take to potluck dinners!

Absolutely delicious salad. I make a bit more bacon and a bit more dressing to make sure the rich flavors get around enough. I’ve taken this to a few gatherings now and it’s always received well. I’ve seen other variations on this dish, but this one is the tops in my book! Thanks for sharing this great recipe.

This was wonderful. I made it for the first time when I had company, and everybody loved it. I will definitely make it again.

This had a really good flavor. I may add more mayo the next time so that the cheese holds to it.
    Definately a keeper.

My husband went nuts over this – we all just loved it. I used light mayo, turkey bacon and sugar twin sweetner in place of sugar.

Made this recipe for a dinner party. Received many compliments. Thanks! Note: I cheated and used the pre-cooked bacon – made everything go real fast!

This is a welcome addition to backyard barbecues and covered dish suppers. I’ve
been asked for this recipe many times. Thanks for sharing it.

I can’t say enough how good this recipe is. Our family loves it-my husband requested it with his birthday dinner. I halved it the first time but it goes so fast a whole recipe is hardly enough.

I made this in the morning for dinner that evening and while I was at work my mother-in-law and a friend ate more than half. Needless to say, it’s great. Next time I might cut back on the sugar a little. Would be perfect for a barbecue or potluck.

I’m so glad that I made this recipe. I had a hard time figuring out how much broccoli to use, but now that I’ve made it, I have a good idea….It came out PERFECT!!! I can’t wait to try it at the next “family function”!

Love it! Easy! I didn’t have bacon so I used bacos. I had to put it in the fridge before I ate it all!

If you use bagged broccoli florets and pre-shredded cheese, this recipe is done in a flash and gets WONDERFUL reviews!

This was not my favorite broccoli salad, but it was ok.

This is an excellent salad for the summer BBQ’s–
    prefer it with beef.

    I used pre-chopped florets, pre-shredded cheese and pre-cooked bacon – easiest salad I have ever made! FT823

I liked how peppery the dressing was (although it seemed a little too thin); I bet it’d be a great cole slaw dressing, too.

Everyone thought this was outstanding–I served it at a luncheon today.

This was very easy, quick, and yummy! I used a whole bag of frozen Broccoli & Cauliflower cuts. Ran cold water over vegi’s in a collander until thawed & then halfed all ingredients for dressing. It was a great side dish for two big eaters with leftovers for lunch. Thanks….

Everybody reviewed this so highly. So I was surprised when it didn’t turn out. There is WAY too much red vinegar in the recipe. It overwhelmed the entire dish. I was wondering if the 1/4 cup was a typo? We threw out the entire dish.

Could be a bit thicker but overall loved it.
Even ate the leftovers for breakfast at work!

    FYI
Good idea to blance the broccoli

My two year old ate this, and everyone asked for the recipe! It’s so good I can’t get enough.

    Thanks

Love this salad although I adjusted the dressing ingredients to suit me…I like more ‘sweet’ and less ‘sour’ in my dressings.

Great salad! Easy and very tasty. Thank you!

    This recipe was ok.

Really great recipe, have made it several times and emailed it to family/ friends …everyone loves it!

I love this recipe!! Everyone who I have served it to wants the recipe. I add the bacon last so that I stays crispy.

Very good. I doubled the “sauce” recipe because it seemed a little dry, but maybe I used to much broccoli.

GOOD STUFF!!!! Take the time to make this for your next gathering!!!

This turned out to be a hit at the family picnic. I wasn’t quite sure on how much broccoli “Two heads” were. I bought two rubber banded bunches at the grocery store and actually had to double the dressing so it wasn’t too dry. I didn’t put quite as much pepper as it said and also added rasins! It was very yummy!

This is a recipe that I’ve been making for years and I love it! To make it super easy, I buy broccoli that is already cut into pieces and use pre-cooked bacon bits.

This was really good! I increased most of the ingredients and decreased the amount of dressing. Next time I might blanch the broccoli to make it a wee bit more tender.

This is an absolute FAVORITE! I have been making this recipe for a year now and continue to expand the list of fans across the country. We find this to be a satisfying lunch unto itself. The only modification I make is to add somewhat less sugar than called for here. Be sure to use SHARP cheese. Yellow cheese as opposed to white, adds to the visual appeal.

    This is wonderful!

This was so yummy! I used low fat mayo, less sugar and it was wonderful. Can’t wait to serve at my cookout tomorrow.

Really great peppery salad! Everyone loved it.

I have been making this salad for a couple of years now and it’s a hit every time. I’m always asked to share the recipe when I make it. Tastes even better the second day!

My Sister in Law (who hates brocolli) had two helpings. What else can be said…

My husband frowned when I mentioned that I was making this dish to take to a cookout at a friend’s house. Boy, did he change his mind after tasting it. Everyone really enjoyed it, I took home the leftovers and that husband of mine requested it be served that evening with our dinner. Pretty presentation as well. Thanks!

Delicious! I made this for a cookout today and it went quickly. I didn’t have an onion so I added a little onion powder instead. I will definitely make this again. I may use a little less sugar next time. I made this dish a few hours early and am glad I did. It tasted even better right before I served it.

    Easy, tangy and good.

I made this twice this weekend and I strongly recommend adding about HALF the black pepper first, taste it, then add more if needed. My first batch was VERY peppery. The second one turned out better. I liked it.

Very good, our guests liked it but the kids found it a little peppery (and I had already reduced the pepper).

I have made this recipe several times over the last few months for a variety of family gatherings….I am amazed how well it goes over
I am glad I found it and have shared it with many.

I loved this! I added extra bacon. My boyfriend who claimed to hate broccoli salad couldn’t get enough of this. He said it was the best he ever tasted and he had never liked it before tasing this recipe. I will definitely make this again. It is quick and a good way to use all the broccoli that is overflowing from my garden!

This really is a bodacious salad! I added tortelli and black olives which were both nice additions. Even better the next day!

    This is a delicious recipe!

This recipe was a huge hit! I have made it quite a few times now and always blanch the broccoli first. Even my 7 year old niece loves it!

The salad was very good and I will definitely make again. I did not use the recommended amount of pepper after reading the other reviews. I used about 1/2 tsp each salt and pepper.

Wonderful salad, will definately make again!!!

I love this salad! I use one head of cauliflower and one head of broccoli and the combination is remarkable. Great for pot-lucks.

Very good and easy recipe, the dressing is perfect.

This is a great recipe. I added a little celery to it and my husband loved it.

The very first time I made this recipe it was a HUGE hit with my family. I’ve since had requests for it at every social function. P.S. It tastes twice as good if chilled overnite.

It was great! I bought fresh broccoli floweretts at the bulk food store and chopped them. I also substituted Splenda for the sugar to use in our low-carb diet. My husband really loved it

Thoroughly enjoyed this salad. Something different for a summer supper.

I have made this several times. It has become a family favorite. I took it to a cookout and everyone loved it. Thanks.

This salad is awsome – it’s a big hit with the whole family, even my picky 3 yr old loves it!

I got one word-BIZARRE! I think it would be good without the pepper. I even used half of the recommended amount and it really tasted funny. My husband said he wanted to like it but then you just get this weird taste in your mouth. The pepper throws everything off. Word of caution-make the dressing without the pepper than take a teaspoon out and try it with the pepper to see if you like it before ruining the whole dish. I wish I would of done this!

This was a great salad dish for our Thanksgiving. I did blanch the broccoli and used a bit less salt and pepper and it was just great! The kids liked it too. My only mistake was not making more.

For my own taste I omit the pepper and double the dressing. This is a great salad! Even my picky in-laws like this one!

I had my reservations about this recipe – I don’t like broccoli, but my wife loves vegetables so I decided to give it a try. I love it! This is certainly a repeater. I’m making it again for a church gathering tomorrow!! I’m making sure I get my share as well.

was not thrilled nor were my guest

Was a great new taste for broccoli. Would go easier on the onion next time though; seemed to overpower it a bit.

This is awesome! My husband doesn’t care for broccoli, but loved this salad. I will be making this again! It calls for a lot of pepper, I wouldn’t change the amount, but it might too much for some people.

Wow!! And I mean, WOW!!! I’ve never been a huge fan of raw broccoli, but the flavors involved in this salad sure took care of that. The dressing is sweet tart and absolutely delightful. We had this salad with Shrimp Scampi for dinner and it almost felt like summer again. This is a KEEPER.

Love this…I blanch the broccoli first only because I don’t care for the taste of raw broccoli…make it for holiday gatherings and everyone loves it!

This would be great for a pot luck or picnic. Very good flavor. Thanks for sharing

This is totally awesome! I have made many broccoli salads, but I find this one to be the crowd pleaser. I have yet to meet anyone who does not love this. I have even used this salad as a base for elbow macaroni salad for additional substance. My family LOVES this!

Way too much pepper! It was so hot, I could hardly eat it.

This was a great salad. I served it last night with BBQ ribs off the grill and some foccacia bread. Everyone LOVED it! Thanks for submitting it!

This is the best broccoli salad I have ever tasted. I can’t keep this recipe in my recipe box because people keep asking for it. Thanks for sharing it with us!!!

This recipe is quick, easy and delectable! My family loved it. I prepared it for a Mother’s day dinner and doubled the recipe. I did not have any left and there were only 6 people at the dinner.

Thsi is AWESOME!!! I made it last night for a picnic I am going to today and while I am at work I am dreaming of it in the fridge, thank goodness or I would eat all of it. I didn’t change the recipe at all, except I used pre-cooked bacon and shredded cheese, and it tastes soooo good. I also didn’t add so much pepper. The basic recipe is to die for, but to fill it out a bit I added penne pasta (I was told to bring a pasta salad), and I ended up bringing some for my lunch. I don’t even care if people at the picnic don’t like it because then there will be more for me!!!!!! I will be making this alll summer. Thanks for a definitely bodacious salad. CHEERS!! A.

One of my favorite salads! This is also good if you mix broccoli and cauliflower.

I loved this recipe. I added a bit extra sugar to taste and it reminded me of Ruby Tuesday’s broccoli salad. Will definately make again.

Pretty good! Had to make it a little sweeter for my taste though.

Wow was this delicious! I used Splendra instead of sugar and slightly more mayonnaise. Best salad I’ve had in a long time. Will make this for 4th of July BBQ. I’m sure this would make an absolutely fantastic pasta salad, but I’m going to serve it as is. Thanks – this was truly delicious.
