Big James' Pork Rub

Pork shoulder rub to use when smoking ribs or pork butt. I sprinkle this all-purpose rub liberally on the pork before smoking it.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup paprika
  • ½ cup chili powder
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons celery seed
  • 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
  • 2 teaspoons dry brown mustard
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions

Step 1
Mix together paprika, chili powder, both sugars, celery seed, black pepper, cayenne pepper, dry mustard, garlic powder, cumin, and salt in a bowl.

Step 2
Store in an airtight container or keep in the freezer in a resealable plastic bag.
