Beer Bread is a quick bread to make to accompany any beef dish. The type of beer you use will change the taste. Serve topped with butter or cheese spread.
Ingredients
- cooking spray
- 3 cups self-rising flour
- 3 tablespoons white sugar
- 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle beer
Directions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray.
Step 2
Mix flour and sugar together in a large bowl. Pour in beer and continue to mix, first with a wooden spoon and then with your hands, until well combined; batter will be sticky. Pour into the prepared pan.
Step 3
Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown on top, 50 to 60 minutes.
