This apple crisp recipe with oats and melted butter is easy to make with minimal mess. This has been handed down by my grandmother, and I would like to share it with you.
Ingredients
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup butter, melted
- 3 cups apples – peeled, cored and chopped
- ½ cup white sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Directions
Step 1
Gather all ingredients.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease an 8-inch square pan.
Step 3
Place brown sugar, oats, flour, and butter in a large bowl; mix until crumbly.
Step 4
Place 1/2 of the crumb mixture in the bottom of the prepared pan. Spread apples evenly over crumb mixture.
Step 5
Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon; top with remaining crumb mixture.
Step 6
Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, 40 to 45 minutes.
