Apple Dump Cake

This apple dump cake was one of the first things I made when I was just learning to bake, and I still use it for parties as it is a crowd-pleaser. Because it calls for only 3 ingredients, it is super quick and easy to make. A dollop of vanilla ice cream tops it very well.

Ingredients

  • 2 (21 ounce) cans apple pie filling
  • 1 (15.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
  • ½ cup butter, melted

Directions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Step 2
Pour pie filling into a 9×13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle cake mix evenly over apple pie filling and top with melted butter.

Step 3
Bake in the preheated oven until the top starts to turn brown, about 40 minutes. Cool cake 15 minutes before serving.

Any pie filling works great with this recipe.
