I made a half batch of these in an 8×8 inch square pan, and I reduced the sugar amount by 1/4 cup. I also left out the optional walnuts, still used 1/2 cup chopped apple (even though I halved everything else), and didn’t dust the bars with powdered sugar (they didn’t need it). I ended up with some very very tasty blondies, that are quite apple-forward in the flavor department. Everyone who tried them loved them! I could see adding some cinnamon or nutmeg for a little more flavor as well. I would definitely make these again! Thanks for sharing your recipe!
